Reservation Policies For Normal Reservations
We require a deposit of 50% of the total reservation to confirm the reservation. For most reservations, within 48 hours we will charge the 50% deposit to the credit card that you enter during the reservation process.
Your reservation is NOT confirmed until we receive the deposit.
The 50% balance must be paid when it arrives at the Check-in.
Cancellation Policies For Normal Reservations
• Reservations that are canceled or modified 14 days in advance or more, receive 100% of your deposit 50% of total reservation).
• Reservations that are canceled or modified between 3 - 14 days from the date of the Check-In, only receive 50% of the deposit (25% of total reservation).
• Reservations that are canceled or modified between 0-3 days from the date of the Check-In lose 100% of the deposit (50% of the reservation).
• If you do not arrive for your reservation (NO SHOW), you lose 100% of the deposit.
• All refunds or reimbursements have an administrative charge of $100,000 COP.
• Cancellations or changes / modifications to the original reservation AFTER CHECK-IN have a penalty of one night of your reservation and no money back.

Reservation Policies for Retreat & Group Reservations (Reserving Entire Resort Exclusively)
To confirm the retreat and block out your dates on our calendars, we require an initial deposit of 25% of the total Retreat (based on Nightly Rate for up to 18 people).
The second 25% deposit is due 3 months prior to your arrival.
Remaining 50% balance due 2 Weeks (14 Days) prior to arrival/check-in. May also be paid at Check-In with credit/debit card pending approval from Administration.
*Any additional guests over 18 people will be added to this final balance.
Cancellation Policies for Retreat & Group Reservations (Reserving Entire Resort Exclusively)
If Gitana del Mar has to cancel the retreat for any reason on our behalf we will give you a full refund of any deposits paid.
If the retreat is cancelled for acts of God (Tsunami, earthquakes, storms) or civil unrest then we return all deposits minus the first $1,000 US.
If the Client cancels the retreat, all the deposits are non-refundable and as detailed below:
If group reservation is cancelled within 3 months (90 days) of check-in date, client receives 50% refund of deposited amount to date (first 25% deposit).
If group reservation is cancelled within 31-90 days, client receives 25% refund of deposited amount to date.
If group reservation is cancelled within 0-30 days of check-in date, client receives NO refund.
*All refunds are subject to a 10% Processing Fee.
Check-In Hours: 12:00 pm - 11:00 pm (No Exceptions).
Check-Out Hours: 11:00 am.
Corkage Fee - If you bring your own liquor, the consumption will be subject to a corkage charge
Child Policy, Information & Rates - We accept well-behaved & respectful children at Gitana del Mar. Our pricing is as follows:
Children 0-10 years old- $120,000 COP per night.
Children 10 and up – Normal adult rate.
Each Bungalow has a maximum capacity for 3 Adults. If there are small children traveling and staying in the same room as their parents, we can bring an extra mattress on the floor for a child, or a foldable baby crib.
Pet Policy - You may NOT travel with pets to Gitana del Mar. We have dogs and all of our neighbors have dogs as well as chickens, horses, donkey etc. No one has fences that can keep their dogs and animals on their property or your dogs and animals off the neighbor’s property. Therefore we cannot be responsible for any of our guests animals and therefore do not accept pets.
